NOVO EV:

The  word 'NOVO' Is of latin origin, MEANING 'FRESH' OR 'NEW'. Keeping this 'FRESHNESS' in mind, the company is the first manufacturer of electronic baggage tugs and other utility vehicles in India under exclusive license for drawings from USA.

WE have tied up with a reputed maker of electric ground support equipment in China, Techking Shenzhen Industries. Under this association, we will be manufacturing electric baggage tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors and other utility vehicles under license from them (by importing the critical components from them and sourcing the rest locally) and then taking charge of marketing, selling, after- sales service and maintenance.

Our focus on electric vehicles stems from the fact that across Indian airports, baggage towing, cargo loading and aircraft pushback/towing is predominantly being done by agricultural/farm tractors and diesel vehicles.

These vehicles have a very high maintenance cost (diesel engines), are noisy and are some of the most polluting vehicles at an airport.

They need to be planned from the airports in order to promote and infuse environment-friendly alternatives that are being used across the globe. By doing this, each airport can “go green” and reduce its carbon footprint tremendously, another very important aspect in overall growth and sustainability.

There is a projected growing demand in India for non- polluting vehicles and very soon, all commercial vehicles and SPVs will have to adhere to a new guideline of emissions and pollution.

This will help to create a big demand for electronic vehicles, especially in the aviation and warehousing sectors. Baggage and aircraft tow tractors will be required for the current operating airports in the country, as well as for the upcoming 50 new airports that aim to be ready over the next 10 years.

NOVO EV is a joint venture association of Promoters of Airawat Group and Globe Hi Fabs.
